I've always admired Hilda's work and the pastel, sometimes desolate worlds it transports you to. We recently collaborated and I learned part of her creative process. During this session, I visited her studio and marveled at her work, her processes, and her attention to detail, from the color and materials she experiments with to the print quality and even the arrangement of her brushes. Since then, the word I associate with her is "accurate": without simply translating it as "precise," it encompasses concepts like truth, correctness, and good taste.
