Agnes is an artisanal dyeing workshop based in Mexico City and run by Carla Qua.

Each piece is a means by which we approach the craft of natural dyes and traditional dyeing techniques, which we deeply admire. Our production is ethical and sustainable. All our fabrics are naturally and locally sourced. Each piece is dyed individually or in small batches to offer unique editions, consistent, and unrepeatable colors. We use responsibly sourced and harvested plants or soils.

The laboratory was named after Agnes Waterhouse, the first woman accused of witchcraft. Any woman who enjoyed any kind of independence was likely to be considered a witch.

All our fabrics and fibers are of natural origin. Each garment is dyed individually or in small batches to offer unique editions, firm and unrepeatable colors. We use non-toxic vegetable dyes and minerals.
